How To Make Money As A Wellness Consultant"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"buzzsprout-player-19607735\"><\/div><script src=\"https:\/\/www.buzzsprout.com\/1739894\/episodes\/19607735-173-how-to-make-money-as-a-wellness-consultant.js?container_id=buzzsprout-player-19607735&#038;player=small\" type=\"text\/javascript\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the biggest myths in wellness consulting is that expertise is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That if you&#8217;re good enough at what you do, clients will simply understand your value and pay for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don&#8217;t believe that&#8217;s true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 18 years of building my consulting business, I&#8217;ve learned otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can have decades of experience, be exceptional at your craft, and still struggle to make money from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not because your expertise isn&#8217;t valuable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But because expertise alone doesn&#8217;t create a business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A business only works when the people you want to serve understand what you do, value the problem you solve, and are willing to pay you to solve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I learned this the hard way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of my first consulting proposals was 27 pages long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I put everything in it. My finance background from Goldman Sachs. Wellness concepts. Treatment menus. Operational models. Pre-opening support. Training. Business turnarounds. Fitness programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wanted the client to see everything I was capable of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I thought the more I included, the more valuable I&#8217;d appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They hired someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time, I couldn&#8217;t understand why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eventually I realised I&#8217;d used my expertise to prove my worth, instead of focusing on the one thing that actually mattered: what did this client need help solving?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They didn&#8217;t need to understand the full extent of my capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They needed to understand how I could help them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That distinction changed how I built my business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it&#8217;s exactly what today&#8217;s episode is about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this episode you&#8217;ll understand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1.- Why expertise alone doesn&#8217;t create a business<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;re not being hired for your expertise in isolation.
