<\/strong>There are two kinds of professionals that can help you to build a successful business: The consultant and the spa designer. During the conception of the spa, the consultant can guide you in the right direction regarding the implementation of the business plan and the concept that defines your spa. Besides this, the consultant can help you avoid the \u2018fake\u2019 consulting<\/a> that very often is provided by product and equipment suppliers whose plan of action is mostly based on the profits generated by the sales of their goods.<\/p>\n

Once you have implemented a business plan that takes into consideration different variables such as your spa\u2019s goals and concept as well as the projected client experience, you are ready to jump into the physical aspect of your structure. Along those lines, the spa needs to create the right balance between Income Generator (IG) areas (e.g. treatment rooms, retail zones) and Non Income Generator (NIG) areas (e.g. bathrooms, locker rooms).\u00a0 Without a proper balance between IG and NIG areas, the spa is doomed to fail. As stated by Sam Margulies, \u201cIf your floor plan is not optimizing the \u2018utilization rate\u2019 of the surface within an intelligent traffic pattern, you will never be able to achieve a healthy business format\u201d.<\/p>\n

Managing the energy of the spa is another crucial element that deserves careful consideration. The spa needs to create a structure where areas of high-energy do not interfere with relaxing areas. The lack of a structure capable of balancing areas of energy, may lead to a bad experience for the client.<\/p>\n

In the same way, the floor design needs to focus on the client\u2019s perception. A spa with a hectic reception or small and crowded rooms has the potential to generate a bad experience for the client. As stated by Sam Margulies, \u201cit is the perception of the client that prevails and that will decide the overall experience of the client\u201d. Clients who leave the spa with a negative impression will not come back.<\/p>\n

Tal y como lo dice Sam Margulies, “Si el dise\u00f1o de su planta no est\u00e1 optimizando la \u2018tasa de utilizaci\u00f3n\u2019 de la superficie dentro de un patr\u00f3n inteligente de tr\u00e1fico, usted nunca ser\u00e1 capaz de lograr un formato de negocios saludable”.<\/p>\n

El manejo de la energ\u00eda del spa es otro elemento crucial que merece una consideraci\u00f3n cuidadosa. El spa tiene que crear una estructura en donde las \u00e1reas de alta energ\u00eda no interfieran con zonas de relajamiento. La falta de una estructura capaz de equilibrar las \u00e1reas de energ\u00eda, puede producir una mala experiencia para el cliente.<\/p>\n

De la misma manera, el dise\u00f1o de la planta tiene que concentrarse en la percepci\u00f3n del cliente. Un spa con una recepci\u00f3n agitada o habitaciones peque\u00f1as y llenas de gente tiene el potencial de generar una mala experiencia para el cliente. De acuerdo con Sam Margulies, “la percepci\u00f3n del cliente es lo que prevalece y lo que decidir\u00e1 la experiencia general del cliente”. Los clientes que abandonan el spa con una impresi\u00f3n negativa no regresar\u00e1n.<\/p>\n
